Top tips for fixing scratched PlayStation CDs

There is nothing more annoying then get the urge to kick some serious butt at the GTA or Soul Calibur (or other PS games) and discover that the game does not work for some ridiculous reason. I have heard a lot of suggestions for solving this problem, and I'll tell you right now that most of them do not work. Banging the PlayStation is one of those "don't work" settings.

So what should you do? Follow these steps, and you should be up and running in no time (unless the problem is a little more serious, but even then found solutions).

Fixing scratched Playstation CDs-the problem is a scratch?

Starts with basic and simplest problems. Sometimes we try fixing scratched Playstation CDs and realize not possibly a problem not the bottom. Something as simple as dust, oil or accumulated "stuff" is the only thing that stops you from playing your game. Running hot water on the disc to remove dust (this gets most of it).
Sometimes dust and "stuff" is caked on there pretty good and hot water drop not by with it on its own. Rub gently the CD with your finger while running water over it. it is important to remember here you shouldn't rub the CD Playstation in a circle movement! Starting from the edge and rub just active to center and then repeat. If your finger doesn't do the trick, use a mild liquid soap or rubbing alcohol.
Dry Playstation, not the CD when you are finished! Let it air dry.

Fixing scratched Playstation CDs-Yes, the problem is a bottom

Before we talk about polishing, it is important that you see on your Playstation CD and see which side of the floor is on. Sometimes scratched cover page (top) and then just look right through the optic disc without reading it; If this is the case only color on the bottom (top) with a black marker and that usually works.
Some scratches are easier to solve than others. Shallow scratches can be fixed very easily by polishing down the surrounding plastic coating to make the bottom even more shallow (or non-existent). The problem here is, of course, if you do that enough times, you will have nothing left CD, Playstation. Deeper scratches are more difficult to solve, but still do-able.
If you have decided that Polish is the CD Playstation a little to get it going then all you need to a little toothpaste (preferably with a Baking Soda) or Brasso. Get you a soft, lint-free cloth (some t-shirts is good) or one of these eyeglass cleaning wiping cloths (wearing glasses pays off sometimes). Apply some warm water to the surface of your Playstation CD and a small amount of toothpaste or Brasso. Again, do not rub in a circular movement! RUB the inside to the outside edge (or vice versa), and try to stick to the area that is scratched. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." Do this at least 10-15 times as gently as possible. Take a little pressure to bottom Playstation CDs, and you should feel the tablecloth scratching right away. You might be able to reuse a bit of toothpaste on your cloth from time to time (but not much!).
If you used Brasso should you use a clean soft cloth to wipe off the excess and let it air dry. Once dried, you should wipe it down once more. If you used toothpaste then you run the disc under hot water and let the disc air dry completely before you play it.
