PlayStation 3 (PS3) Hardware overview

PlayStation 3 (PS3) Hardware overview

For once, not all about the PS3 game, but the actual console, even

We have tasks PS3 technical specifications directly from Sony and, of course, want to update it as they do. The first part of this basic regulation details the architecture specification, and the other part, to them, not too familiar with CPU speeds and gigabit interfaces, we have provided an explanation of what these acronyms crytpic actually do!

OK, for those, like most, not sure what all this babble means here is dummie sguide to all the technical specifications. Enjoy:

CPU
CPU, or central processing unit, is the brain of a computer or machine. Its primary task is to translate the instructions and process data from applications that initiate the. in other words, you click a button, the CPU will interpret that to mean kicking the bad guy in the head and resulting in favorite characters executing a sublime Round House kick. Pretty much all modern day Cpus have a microprocessor in their heart, increase performance drastically from previous methods. The PS3 's CPU is built exclusively for the console, it is therefore not extremely scalable, but upgrade packs one hell of a Punch to your PS3 gaming needs

GPU
GPU, or graphics Pro, no Resume, hang, I can not imagine what it would be. Have it! Graphics processor! Daddy behind your artwork on the console, and is extremely powerful with graphical manipulation and rendering, as it is a dedicated piece of hardware. At the same time delivers the atonishing Playstation 3 graphics eases some of the load from the CPU, letting the brain get to do what it does best

Audio
The PS3 will have Dolby 5.1 CH speakers, synonomous with quality home theater systems. In short, when you hear a few rounds cracking out of an automatic behind you semi, Japan invaded, not its game.

Memory
Ever forget where you put that damn memory card? Well, try PS3 not to. Memory of the PS3 console, it is important never to forget where you picked up your final reward, villains you've slain or puzzle games, you have resolved. The more memory the better. When information is stored in memory, it is much faster for system to retrieve this information, in contrast to the first reading it from your hard drive, in otherwise less hanging and jumps.

System bandwidth
Term a is somewhat speculative, which is hard, or near impossible to prove. It is a complex assumption involves the capacity of certain elements to communicate with each other, how fast they do, how much resources they use. If you want more information, you can try a qubit night course.
System floating point performance
Floating point system performance is an indicator of the computer or console performance, especially when extensively using floating point calculations. PS3 has 2 TFLOPS (of course), which equates to the 1012 FLOPS (of course). In layman's terms, can console calculate advanced calculations prety damn fast

Storage
Everyone loves lots of storage space. For a car, home or office, you can not get enough sometimes. PlayStation 3 likes space also has lots of data and information to save, when it must permanently remember things or memory can not cope. With either 20 GB or 60 GB hard disk space do you have enough space to swing 10 cats bound together with string.

I/O
I/o, i/o, its off to work we go. I/o (Input/Output), is the speed and type of units, PS3 reads from or writes to. As you can see, there are a few gadgets you can connect to the console.

Message
Communication is the key to success, and this model or Playstation has taken a leap from its predecessor, and is now the video input to the super information highway, or the Internet, as we often say. Multi-player online gaming is now a thing of the present with Smart new PS3

Controller
Controllers, in principle, rule (YEP, controlling) how different components interact and interface with each other. This applies generally to the external devices (not on board). Exciting things.

AV Output
AV Output is a method for displaying output, visualizations, you see when running amock in the GTA. You could have the best GPU, but without any mechanism to pipe it to your screen, your screwed.

Disc Media
Obviosuly, what type of drives your Playstation 3 can read. There are a couple of supported formats, so check em out
