PlayStation Portable to a hard disk?


Sony Playstation is one of the most sought after gaming units currently in existence. Gaming World is a fair share or black enjoys black currently with Microsoft's Xbox and Nintendo's Wii to compete against the ever popular Sony Playstation. Last year, Sony upped its game with Playstation 3 and games enthusiasts fell over each other to be among the first to try out new and improved system. Existing PlayStation fans fell in love all over again, while thousands of PlayStation beginners became instant converts. Sony Playstation is not without its opponents, many believe that it pales in comparison with the more interactive Wii, while some Xbox fans refuse hardship from their belief that Microsoft rules. With record breaking sales is often daily's supply and demand, Playstation, however, not terribly worried about losing his place in the avid gamers hearts.

And now seems that the PlayStation upping its game again. Recently it was announced that gamers would soon be able to buy the film on a Playstation 3 and then move them to a PlayStation Portable. The announcement left many in the gaming industry asks if Sony would follow the go up with increased storage capabilities to your portable device, so that users would be able to save any film transferred from their Playstation 3. They were not disappointed, as Jack Tretton, CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment America said that the company has considered installing a hard drive on the upcoming PlayStation Portable devices.

Official PlayStation has yet to announce the impending arrival of any internal storage solutions, however, Tretton says it is "increasingly likely" that the new PlayStation Portable will include "some sort of internal storage setting". According to popular gaming site Kotaku, Tretton says that Sony has "thought of" installing a hard drive in the new portable system. Tretton seems to believe that it is "forward trend".

Tretton also believes that the new technology and drive toward a digitally distributed movies are likely to be a mortal blow to the ailing Sony's UMD (Universal Media Disc). According to Tretton is an understatement to say that the UMD has struggled. He believes that the primary reason for their distinct lack of success has to do with the fact that they were not marketed in a sufficiently convincing and dynamic way. Tretton also believe that their quality had a lot to answer for. According to Tretton, "Distributed Digital films are either will complement the UMD movies second match, or games in Umds heart."
