You own a Playstation 2 but am not quite sure what other items to buy with it. What games will you buy? Do you need extra controllers? Is memory card required? Are any other accessories required? Follow these instructions below and you can answer all your questions and start enjoying your console full.
Games-after selecting the system, is the biggest decision, what games do you want to buy to go along with it. PlayStation 2 console is just an expensive dvd player, if you don't buy games, so you need to deal with this issue right away. The first way to select game is picking something related to a hobby of yours outside of gaming. Do you play football, skateboarding, like cars or fishing, like a specific movie? There are games for all of these hobbies, film tie in games and many more. The second option to select your game starts with a list of the most popular games released on the PlayStation 2. They are:
Grand Theft Auto Vice City, Final Fantasy X, Madden 2006, Splinter Cell, Gran Turismo 3 and SOCOM Navy Seals
These games are not made for all, so be sure that you check the ratings and descriptions before you buy one. PlayStation 2 has one of the widest game lists, or any system, so you're bound to find a game that fits exactly fits your particular likes.
Controllers-The Playstation 2 console came originally with one domain controller out of the box but two controller slots. Buy another domain controller can be a great investment, especially if your friends also play games or more people in this House Play. The small investment will greatly increase your enjoyment of the system, because you can play with friends at the same time. If you purchase a multi tap adaptor, you can use four controllers at the same time. Unless you buy the multi tap adaptor, there is no need to buy more than one domain controller.
This is a great time to mention the difference between the Sony fire controllers and third party controllers. Sony contollers is more reliable, while third party controllers is less expensive but can break easier. Only recommend I buy Sony fire controller for the most part. The only exception to this is Logitech fire controllers. Logitech makes a high quality wireless controller, which is very reliable.
Memory card-you must be at least one memory card to save your games on the PlayStation 2. Tag Sony 8 MB memory card can save quite a bit game data. Unless you play lots of sports games, you only have one memory card. If you really love your Sports games, remember to pick up a pair of ekstrælementer, because they need plenty of space to store all the data that is required to play an entire season.
Accessories-The Playstation 2 has lots of other accessories that you could buy including network adaptors, steering wheel, and even a hard drive. The most useful of these is the network adapter that plugs into the back of the system and allows you to connect to the Internet for online games. Many of the latest games on PS2 support online play, so you will need this network adapter. (Quick side note: If you buy a Slim PStwo system you don't need to buy this adapter, because it is already built into the system). The other accessory for PS2 have their uses, but is not quite as positive as the network adapter.
