Since the PlayStation 3 was released in November 2006, the two gaming giants, SONY and Microsoft have been fighting and everyone has been asking the same question. Which is better? First and most importantly, the price. The PlayStation 3 was released at a quite expensive price but has been dropping since then. It is now down to 399$ for the 80GB version and 499$ for the 160GB version while the Xbox is sold at 299$ for the 60GB version and 399$ for the 120GB one. You may think that this gives a good advantage to the Xbox 360 but it brings us to the point number two, durability
The PS3 is very reliable and will probably keep working forever. On the other hand, the 360 has huge reliability issues. Ever heard of the RROD (Red Ring of Death)? I know several people who have bought one PlayStation but are on their second or third Xbox. The 100$ difference seems pretty acceptable after learning this, doesn't it?
Thirdly, the graphics. The PS3 fan boys claim that it has the best graphics but technically speaking, the 360's GPU is more powerful. When comparing the same title on both consoles, the Xbox usually have the edge but on console exclusive titles, when the games are polished and built for its system, the PS3 can be extremely impressive.
It is hard to tell which one is actually the best. Is it the Xbox 360 or the PlayStation 3? None of them are the best, or both of them if you prefer. They both have their pros and cons.
