The ideal of PlayStation


The old infomercials of the 1950s raved about how product x could slice, dice, chop, SAP and if necessary, pick up your dry cleaning and bathing your dog. Back then, baby boomers reveled in the victory of the war, and wanted to live the life of affordable luxury, which was roughly translated into ease. The more that can be done with less "was the standard of the modern life.

Today, we demand that our technologies two wont be able to so much more. A mobile phone can not only take calls; It requires a Web browser, video player, GPS tracking and a music player. And if said mobile phone does not have a digital camera, it can also be used as a doorstop. The electronics we use today are handy or outdated. And unlike the Puritan 1950s, it is not luxury, which dictates the efficiency of our devices, it is time, or lack thereof.

Now, somewhere between the 1950s and today, home video game systems boomed in popularity and accessibility. And for a good 15 years, your video game system was good for playing video games and nothing else. Insert game, enable, game, games shut off: a pretty simple concept.

If video game players never had to leave their Playstation to listen to their favorite CD or watch a movie, then Sony has that Gamer's full attention, and that the gamer is entirely dependent on the Playstation for all his fundamental entertainment needs: watching, playing and listening. The PlayStation, when converted, the idea of immediately launched Nov entertainment centres. In place of an multi-tude of wires, cables and connections, a small console can do it all. It could slice, dice, chop, potatoes and more.

That set big bang from this era of all in one. The internet, once thought can only be accessed by telephone line, is now available on a Blackberry that can also play music, making presentations, keep track of important dates and maybe even act a phone call or two. Video game systems are now piping for downloading movies and mobile phones are libraries of information. Everything does everything and is able to do everything. And where has all the modern technological unit begin?

That's right, with the Sony PlayStation.

There was once a time where mobile phones and receive calls only. Tele visions projected when only program. Video games provided when gaming entertainment and nothing else. Where there was not one device that can whip, flip and smother. An era where there are only a tool for a task was. Those days are long gone.

So we have two claim having all this technology to our finger tips that we forget the dark ages where things were not so automatic and as accessible as they are today. In terms of technology ended the dark era when the Sony PlayStation was born.
