The PlayStation Store Truly Is a Fantastic Facet To PS3 Owners Everywhere

The PlayStation store is really trying to become the supreme asset to PS3 owners everywhere. With many of the newest PlayStation 3 consoles not having the backwards compatibility, the PlayStation store has been an enormous benefit to give gamers and PS3 owners exactly what they crave. From downloadable games, movies, TV shows and much much more.

As it sits right know there are about 450 games to choose from. Many of the latest and classic games are getting added monthly to the PlayStation store. You even have the opportunity to play demos of games before you buy the game. Not only does the PlayStation store carry games, but movies and T.V Show are also available. You can find seasons of many of the top shows on T.V, and even many of the classic shows. Are all available for you to buy and download to your PS3. Sony is even working hard to show pre-lease trailers of movies before you buy them, or before they are even released in the theaters.

Another benefit of the PlayStation store is an option to select media as one of the choices. This brings up a whole other section of the store, where you have access to: newest game videos, action sports channel, and full game trials. That's right you can find full game trials; which is a fantastic feature. To round out the media section you have various other PlayStation extras, like the qore which provides HD video of the store, the pulse, and a free video showcase of what's going on now with PlayStation. Not to mention they're several more random sections to choose from including MLB.TV.

Another great facet about the store is the Add on Game Content you can buy. Many games that have huge on line followings, have new map packs released by Sony. Which means in addition to all the maps; you get with the original purchase of your game. You have the ability to buy add on game content; which will give you even more options when playing, all for around $10. Many games have add-on's you can buy which will give you, secret weapons, new cars, secret items, all can be purchase through the store, to enhance your gaming experience.

The only downside is gamers want more of the classic games available. Yes, you can fine quite possibility one of the best role playing games available in the store. Better know as Final Fantasy Vii, released from the original PlayStation library. At the same time, there were countless other great titles that gamers want available. For example in Japan you can buy and download Xenogears, and Vagrant Story. These two titles are two of the most covenant role playing games from the original PlayStation library. Only problem is there is nothing available yet in the United States. These games, have not been release, and don't have time-line established for US release. At least Sony is aware of the demands, and constantly trying to expand their already fabulous store.

The Old School Game Vault (http://www.wcityauctions.com/) offers to those who want to sell PS3 games with even more money than; you can make selling your games or consoles on eBay, with less hassle.

Sony Ericsson Z1 PlayStation Phone Is a Reality

Sony Ericsson Z1 PlayStation Phone, IS REAL!!!

The hype surrounding the reality of a PlayStation phone is coming to a head with the leak of some pictures, and a clear 3 minute video that appeared on the internet, on Dec. 4th 2010, and it clearly shows that the phone is a reality.

It is going to be called the Sony Ericsson Zeus or Sony Z1, and it looks like it going to be a best seller for sure.

The Sony Zeus or Sony Z1 has real PlayStation controls and the top half of the Phone slides off to reveal the controls.

It wont be a true PlayStation Phone which is probably the reason they decided to brand it as the Sony Erisson Zeus or the Sony Z1 rather than using the PlayStation brand.

The PlayStation phone has not even been confirmed as a reality by Sony Ericsson as yet, but it is rumored to be announced by Sony on 9th December, with the phone being available in February 2011.

It is built on the gingerbread Android platform and is expected to have a 1 GHZ processor.

The handset looks like it was a working prototype and is running on the Android Gingerbread. And the PlayStation symbols were clearly displayed on the buttons.

The Games are expected to be built especially for the Sony Zeus Phone and will be available for $10-$20 but no price is confirmed as yet.

The price of the New Sony Zeus or Sony Z1 is expected to be in the $500 range and supposedly includes 5 games in that pricing, again its too early to confirm the actual pricing.

It has a 5 mega pixel camera with an LED flash, initial reports are, it not the best camera in the world, but then again who really cares as the Sony Zeus is mainly for gaming.

The Sony Z1 looks quite chunky but when you consider that its a phone game console etc you can understand why with the amount of stuff packed inside.

The PlayStation Vita Has Backwards Compatability

The new PlayStation Vita utilizes a new media format known as the PS Vita Card. These small flash memory cartridges store game data and allow you to load games much like a Nintendo DS cartridge or similar media. However, the change in format has left many people wondering about the backwards compatibility of the Playstation Vita with previously purchased games for the PlayStation Portable. Fortunately, Sony has offered a variety of features on the Vita that allow you to enjoy older games and content on the new device.

PlayStation Vita Network Support

By registering your PS Vita with your PlayStation Network account, you can download any PSOne Classics, PS Minis and most PSP downloads that you previously purchased. PSP downloads are being added as games are tested for full compatibility. These should install and run flawlessly on the new Vita. Icons will be created in the LiveArea interface that allow you to launch these games with the tap of your screen.

PS Vita has Backwards Compatibility for Universal Media Discs

With the switch to PS Vita Cards, a UMD reading drive was not included with the Vita. At this time, no known plans have been made to release an external UMD reader for the PS Vita. However, there is still a way to enjoy your games on the new Vita as long as you have access to an original PlayStation Portable that is linked to your PlayStation Network account.

By using the UMD Passport program, you can register games that you own on UMD using your PSP. This allows you to buy downloadable versions of supported games at a reduced price from the PlayStation Vita Store. The process is quick and easy. Simply download the UMD Passport app on your PSP, launch the app, insert any UMD games that you wish to play on your PS Vita and follow the on-screen prompts. After you have completed the process on your PSP, launch the PlayStation Vita Store and check for your discounts in the PSP downloads section.

Graphics for PSP Downloads

A few small features are accessible for PSP downloads that allow you to optimize the graphics for the display. With the substantial increase in both resolution and screen size from the PSP to the Vita, there are noticeable jagged edges and inconsistencies in the display of many PSP games. However, these are just a result of stretching the image to fit the new display and do not interfere with playing the games in any way.

Playstation 3 - The Complete Entertainer

We, as adults have to face the fact that our kids seem more comfortable with a Playstation 3 gaming console than they seem outdoors playing baseball, like we used to in our day and age. Exercise just isn't a top priority for kids anymore, unless of course, you are lucky enough to have a child who is naturally athletic. Nowadays its gaming consoles all the way.

Why the Craze?

And Playstation 3 is probably the most popular gaming console around! Why it is so popular is because it has a really great format - it supports what is known as Blu ray. This is, I have learnt, an advanced disc drive which fits right into your Playstation and is compatible with it. It is a phenomenon in the gaming world because a Blue Ray drive is able to play data about five times faster than your average DVD drive!

So we all know what that means - game developers can develop far more sophisticated games which are more realistic and complete with a great degree of detail. What is more, the Play Station 3 was the pioneer gaming console with a Blue ray drive. Another great thing about this disk drive is that it is extremely versatile - that is, it can read almost any form of media.

So if you're thinking all the games you purchased for your other gaming consoles are redundant once you have a Playstation 3, then think again! In fact, you can even use your Playstation 3 to watch movies or even listen to music because of the amazing features that the Blu ray drive offers! It's an all in one entertainment system if you ask me!

Money Matters

Playstation 3, because of its amazing features is not a gaming console which comes for cheap. In fact, it is pretty expensive and most middle class parents would think twice before buying it for their kids. But there are two versions of this incredible gaming console so you can take your pick. There is the basic configuration which comes for about five hundred dollars and the other one is the premium configuration which comes for about six hundred dollars.

So you can still get a Playstation 3 for about five hundred dollars. There is not too much of a difference between the two. The premium has all the features of the basic model, as well as a built in Wifi- capability, a larger, upgradeable hard drive of 60GB and flash card readers.

Plus, the investment is really worth it because you will get a lot more things than just the gaming console when you do choose to purchase it. You will have a wireless Bluetooth controller so you can play your games while you're anywhere in the room and you will also get a free game as well. If you choose to buy your Playstation 3 online, you will be delighted to find that a number of dealers are offering a load of attractive freebies with the Playstation3, so when are you getting one?

Use PlayStation 3 Game Reviews Before Buying

Buying brand new video games can be costly and really drill a hole into your pocket. The prices for the video games can vary depending on the game. Some are cheap and they cost twenty dollars and some can reach a few hundred dollars.

It all depends on the type of the game, on how new it is and also on the type of hardware. For example, some think that games on PlayStation 3 are a bit more affordable than the others out there.

This means that before buying a PlayStation 3 console, you might want to check out some reviews and see the prices. In this way, if you read a review about the game, you can make a good decision on purchasing the video game.

Some reasons for reading reviews

One could mention many reasons why a person should read the game reviews before purchasing the item.

One of the first reasons and probably the most important is that you don't want to spend a few hundred dollars and find you don't really like it and it is not what you wanted. The reviews on PlayStation 3 games can tell you all you want to know about the game you are thinking of buying.

They can tell you about the level of difficulty, the challenges and it there are cheats to be used to win the game. A full review will make you prepared for that game and you will know what to expect and if the game is your money's worth.

There are many different places where you can search for some PlayStation 3 games reviews. One of the first places where you need to check is the local gaming store.

There is such a store in almost every town and there you can find some written game reviews. If there are no written reviews, the local store people are able to provide you with some good information about the games from their experience. Besides the game store, you can also search reviews online.

You can search for the game's review by entering its name or just for PlayStation 3 reviews in general. You will find some professional sites and some personal blogs that belong to gamers.

Usually, the personal reviews are the best because they are based on person experience with the game. They also contain tips and tricks that you can use.

The main way to find games, is to go to a local gaming store. Some are bigger than others. So there will be a selection. This is one way, and often has the highest costs, as it is generally based on the games recommended retail prices, which often for new games could be $50 to $70. There are other solutions.

Some stores have used games. So, looking for savings? This can be a great way to get them at a great price.

There are also classified advertisements in papers that can be a great source to save when buying games. Though this is a great method, it generally is great for older games.

The other solution is in magazines. Gaming magazines often contain mail order advertisements, and these can be a great way to find PlayStation 2 games, and make a saving.

The Internet is another great solution, and can really come up with some great findings. There are many stores online, and one thing I have noticed, is better prices than going through a local store.

The other benefit with online, is that now some gaming companies are releasing games on online download. What this results in are massive savings.
