PlayStation Move Review

It feels like years since gamers first caught word of Sony's PlayStation Move. Slowly over the months more and more information has been released, and now the PlayStation Move is upon us. I decided not to pick up the Move on launch day as I wanted to wait and see if anyone reported major issues with the peripheral. I had planned to wait for a potential price drop, but after a few days my patience was exhausted. I ended up spending around $200 on the Move starter bundle, a second controller, and EyePet for my daughter.

The starter bundle includes one standard Move controller, a PlayStation Eye camera, and Sports Champions. The controller fits very snugly in the hand. and the attached lanyard is made of a nice thick fabric with an adjustable locking mechanism. This son of a bitch won't fall off your arm without some serious effort and I don't foresee the lanyard ever breaking. I was also surprised at the quality of the included camera. Sports Champions includes 6 different games, so gamers will get hours of gameplay out of the starter pack alone.

After setting everything up I began to play, I was in awe of the PlayStation Move's responsiveness. Everything runs at an amazing 1:1 ratio, so kudos to Sony for following through on their promises. All of the games on Sports Champions support up to four players, and I've had tons of fun with my friends and family with just this one game. Disk golf, which i had never even heard of before playing Sports Champions, was a blast and I would love to try it out sometime in real life. It's tons of fun and includes multiple holes with obstacles such as water hazards, and trees, so players have to think about both the power and angle of their throw. Disk golf is an amazing example of the precision the Move controller provides.

Some of the games in Sports Champions have the option of using two controllers. This is another mind blowing experience. Gladiator duel is the best game on the disk. This is a 3rd person over the shoulder fighting game that has players holding a shield in the left hand and a sword/axe/hammer/club in the right hand. With two move controllers synced up the right hand orb turns pink and the left hand orb turns blue. This is pretty cool looking when playing in a dark room. Hacking and slashing with your arms in the dark is definitely a blast when getting tipsy with friends.

Sony fully delivered on the PlayStation Move's responsiveness and so far everything has worked flawlessly for me. If you haven't picked up the PlayStation 3 or the PlayStation Move yet you definitely should. Not only is the Move starter bundle available at $99, but a bundle including the PlayStation 3 console, and the Move starter bundle is available for $399..

I find the PlayStation Move to be a must have addition to the PlayStation 3 console. If you were on the fence about motion controls or turned off by the Wii, don't fret. The Wii has been out for quite a few years now and Sony has kept a close eye on what works and what doesn't in motion controls. The Move is spot on, and along with some great titles for kids, Killzone 3, Little Big Planet 2, SOCOM 4, and support for previously released titles like Resident Evil 5 should have core gamers getting in on the PlayStation Move-ment.

How to Get Cheaper PlayStation 3 Console

Sony launch of the PlayStation 3 hit the U.S. markets late last year on November 11, 2006, and thousands of fans swarmed to rush down to their local electronic stores and outlets earliest just to get their first pick of the store's set. As these systems flew off the shelves, the price and value of the Sony PlayStation 3 on the open market flew through the roof, as it became one of the most coveted items of year 2006-2007.

The PlayStation 3 is now only available online through auction sites, classifieds, or an independent seller. Finding a cheap PlayStation 3 requires much more hard work than initially signing up as a pre-ordering registrant. Pre-ordering was the best option to get the first set of PlayStation 3 as they became available in November. This reserved a console, usually only one per household, with a deposit and sometimes upfront payment. On the release date, the console was reserved and guaranteed for pick up.

Still, many people were unable to get on the pre-registration list, or could not afford to pre-pay or pre-order the console. As a result, they had to turn to other ways of getting their own set. During the release phase in early November last year, thousands of fans spent the night in front of computer and electronics stores such as Best Buy and Circuit City, to get their best picks as soon as the store opened its doors in the morning. Many of them kept their purchases, while others started listing the PlayStation 3 on EBay and Amazon.com, even before they got their set.

Today, it's possible to find the PlayStation 3 for cheaper prices than originally listed through bidding wars and negotiations with independent sellers. Craigs list is a good resource to find local sellers, people who may have purchased the console with intention to sell, or are just not interested in it anymore. Buying a used PlayStation 3 still has plenty of value, since the system was manufactured only just last year.

Getting a cheap price on auction sites such as Amazon.com and EBay is competitive, challenging, but can also be a lot of fun. If you are new to auction sites, it will be a good idea to learn about how they work and take a tutorial on how to get the cheapest prices on products that interest you. Sometimes its hard to find a legitimate seller, but there are many valuable sellers and re-sale stores available online that can offer a competitive price.

Therefore, it is import to make sure you are working within your budget. It is especially important when it comes to finding a cheap price for the PlayStation 3, as auction sites can compel you to overbid just to win. Still, working with an independent seller, either through the Classfiieds, Craigslist, or other local bulletin boards may offer some other cheap PlayStation 3 options!

How PlayStation 3 Has Become A Giant In The Industry

The launch of the high demand PlayStation 3 in U.S. markets began in late 2004, but the actual product release hit retail shelves on November 11, 2006. Millions of PlayStation fans from around the country counted down the days to the launch date, armed with their pre-registration cards and other proof that showing they were in the running for the highly prized console.

The PlayStation 3 has quickly gained media and public recognition with its promotions and heavy marketing campaigns within the video game market. Sony has captured their fans and customer base through a series of quality products and games, and continues to do so with the PlayStation 3. The PlayStation 3 is preceded by the PlayStation and PlayStation 2, and is in direct competition with Microsoft's Xbox 2 and Nintendo Wii at this time.

Still, it continues to be a giant in the industry for a variety of reasons. After just two weeks of the market launch, the prices online almost doubled to quickly become one of the most highly-coveted items of the year. This in itself shows promise of a strong market leader because of the consumer-driven demand.

Marketing the PlayStation 3 to different markets in creative ways was a successful strategy for Sony. Launching the console with a pre-ordering option allowed the PlayStation 3 to quickly dominate the competitive market. Millions of Sony fans already anticipated a popular product, and only a few thousand were manufactured which in turn increased its value and overall appeal. Local and national promotions, giveaways, contests, and partnering with strategic business partners were all successful tactics in increasing customer interest and continue growing its fan base.

PlayStation 3 offers unique games and a highly attractive console design. It appeals to a large market and households, and offers unique features that include wireless internet access and controllers, the ability to network with friends online, and being able to watch movies, videos, and listen to music conveniently in one place. It is compatible with other consoles, and is easily portable.

The console has become a giant in the industry because of its large customer and fan base, hat was also ready and able to pre-order the console itself well ahead of the public launch. Customer-driven sales of any product are the most profitable, and Sony was able to carry this out effectively with its marketing campaign and customer approach. The company launched a popular product in a "hungry" market, and quickly gained market share because of an effective sales and marketing strategy.

PS3 80GB - Get All The Facts Here Before You Buy Your PlayStation

If you're trying to buy the PlayStation 3 game console to enjoy the fun it can easily bring you, you must have noticed that there are actually two well known types of PlayStation 3 on the market place at the moment, the first one with a 60GB hard disk and the other one with a 80GB hard drive. You may have asked yourself: Which model should I buy?

You're not alone: a lot of potential PlayStation 3 buyers have the same question in mind. That is why we have decided to provide you with some points to help you comprehend the distinction and make your choice. You will actually find quite a few aspects to consider. Far more than the majority of potential customers believe...

In the event you used to play PS2 games and actually still have lots of them, then the PlayStation 3 60GB is really a better choice. Because it uses hardware called Emotion Engine which provides much better backwards compatibility than the other version. The PS3 80GB actually uses a software application emulation, or the PlayStation 2's GPU, but no PS2 hardware. This means it has reduced PlayStation 2 compatibility to support merely around 60-70% of PlayStation 2 video games.

As probably the most cost effective model, the PS3 60GB provides 4 USB ports, which gives you the ability to connect a lot more devices to the PlayStation 3 if it is one of your needs. If you need a PS3 with the most attributes and affordable pricing, the PS3 60GB model is perfect for you. Nevertheless, Sony has actually ceased manufacturing this model, so you really need to hurry up before it's completely phased out. If you can't find any, try second-hand consoles but be very careful with what you are going to purchase.

The PlayStation 3 80GB provides extended memory, but reduced PlayStation 2 compatibility with PS2 games. It contains the exact same number of USB ports and attributes as the 60GB model. Its bigger hard disk offers you more space for files storage. Nonetheless, many people will actually find that it is a bit too much and that they'll never expect to fill it up... but they're wrong! A PlayStation 3 is a gaming console you will keep for many years, and the more storage the better!

Since the 80GB model may be set up with a Linux operating system and used like a personal computer, if you will save lots of things in your PlayStation or use it as a computer, it's the one you should pick. If you are planning to watch lots of movies using your gaming console you should certainly pick this model.

PlayStation 3 Video Game Review

The PlayStation3 video game is the newest gaming console on the market. Video game consoles are expensive, determining which game console to buy is a big decision.

PlayStation 3 video game, Microsoft Xbox 360, and the Nintendo Wii are the top three video gaming consoles on today's market. The consoles are pricey and some are hard to find. So, before purchasing any of the game consoles, be sure to do your video game research.

COMPARING THE MICROSOFT XBOX 360, NINTENDO WII, AND PLAYSTATION 3 VIDEO GAMES:

MICROSOFT XBOX 360:
The Xbox 360 is the most popular of the top three on the market. It can play the classic and most of the popular games available. The newly introduced the Microsoft Interface Experience has just been released. It's easy to change the appearance of your console by using the Faces 360. With the Xbox Live, you can play with anyone, anytime, and anywhere.

The Xbox 360 has high-definition graphics that redesign what games look, sound, and feel like. However, accessories must be purchased to take full advantage of the it, with increases the cost of the Xbox 360.

It comes with 512MG GDDR3 Ram and 700 MHz DDR of memory and supports up to 4 wireless game controllers. The PlayStation 3 has input/output of 3 USB 2.0 ports, and 2 memory unit slots, and instant out-of-the box access to Xbox Live with a price range of $299 to $399.

The bad news is the console is noisy when running, and a monthly gaming subscription is required.

NINTENDO Wii:
The Nintendo Wii is the most popular gaming console, but also the hardest to find. If you can't locate an individual console, you might want to take advantage of a Wii bundle. The Wii is family-friendly and offers something for most everyone, like the Wii Fit with a balance board, and a Mario card. The graphics are not High Definition, and seem to be more cartoon-like, but the system is great for multiple players of all ages.

It has a sleek look and compact size (8.5" x 6" x 2"), and a disc driver that supports a single or dual layer optical disc, and is backwards compatible.

The main advantage is the Wii controller. There is no learning curve; all the player needs to do is point and swing the controller to get the desired game movement or action. The controller is precise and movements are natural.

The Wii comes equipped with a CMOS processor capable of 729,000 cycles per second, an ATI Hollywood GPU that works at about 249,000 Hz, 88MB RAM, 512MB flash memory, SD card slot, and an internal speaker. It has Bluetooth, Wi-Fi WLAN, and USB LAN-connectivity. An individual Wii console can be found for abour $200.00. Each Wii Bundle is different, and allows you to choose which programs and what accessories best suit your needs. Bundle prices range from $189.99 - $649.99.

SONY PLAYSTATION 3:
The PlayStation 3 video games are the only High-Definition and Blue-Ray player on the market. Not only does it play High-Definition movies, it updates standard DVD's. It's offers a stylish design, but the black glossy finish is a fingerprint magnet. The graphics are awesome, and offers free on-line play. You can create your own avatar and play online with other PlayStation 3 video game users. However, the online gaming, media, and commerce options are not as developed as the Xbox Live.

The PlayStation 3 video game has a built-in Wi-Fi and flash player media reader The console operates quietly, and has backwards compatibility that is hard-wire based. It does not have an external power supply, but does have a 60MG hard drive. PlayStation 3 does not have an infra-red port, and will not be compatible with non-Bluetooth universal remotes.

The PlayStation 3 video game is hard to find, and has a price range of $399.99. But, it also plays PlayStation1 and PlayStation2 video games, making it a worthwhile alternative to the cheaper model. And, if backwards computability is a top priority, this hard-to-find model might be worth the search.
